Shadab Khan shares his joy after his successful recovery from COVID-19

Lahore: Leg-spinner Shadab Khan is happy to recover from COVID-19 and is now eager to join the team in England for three Tests and as many T20Is.

While talking in a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) podcast, the 21-year-old hailed cricket board in motivation him during his recovery from the virus.

“I am very pleased after testing negative from COVID-19 twice. Parents got worried when I was tested positive,” Shadab said.

“PCB motivated me throughout this time and I got a call from CEO Wasim Khan, he gave me confidence. PCB’s medical panel was in contact and helped me throughout,” he added.

Shadab was excited to see the second group of players with whom he traveled to Manchester to join the main squad.

“I arrived in Lahore and it was very pleasing to see the players. Team has already departed for England, however, I was still in touch with the Musa Khan, Faheem Ashraf and spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed.

It must be noted that Shadab along with five other players Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz have departed for Manchester.
